The title of this bizarre black-&-white series rather vividly describes the feeling one might have after reading it: that you had bathed in dirt. But though Renée French’s various vignettes offer a disturbing look at the darker side of Humanity’s often dangerously impulsive, and usually sexual, nature, it is not the stories or images themselves that are the most distressing. It’s the simple fact that they stray just a little too close to reality.
