Aquaman: Time and Tide

This four-issue mini-series recounts the highlights of Aquaman’s life, including his hazy Atlantean origins and his first encounter with the air-breathing super-heroes.

Writer Peter David is at his humorous best here, keeping the story lively while peppering it with some very funny in-jokes and comedic episodes. For example, everyone knows that Aquaman can talk to fish—but did anyone ever think about how dull the conversation could get? Even readers who aren’t particularly partial to Aquaman will find plenty to enjoy in Aquaman: Time and Tide.
