When interplanetary archeologist Anna Reuelen encounters a painting on display during a visit to her corporation’s headquarters, she becomes intrigued by its beauty and ethereal power. She is so enraptured by the painting that she investigates the artist. After a number of dead ends she finally tracks down David Jacobs. He has moved to the ironically named planet of Paradise, which is nothing more than a barren refueling depot on the industrial trade route. But mysteries deepen when Anna finally meets the artist, and it becomes apparent that Jacobs did not paint these subjects from his imagination. Why did these images of a vanished civilization compel David to come to this desolate planet named Paradise?

Memories of Paradise is written and drawn by Gary Kato, who previously worked with Terry Beatty on Ms. Tree.
