While John Clayton (Tarzan) and his wife Jane are walking by a New York alley, a portal opens up and spits out a woman in strange clothes. As the woman dies from the injuries of her transport, Tarzan is sucked into the portal and finds himself on a world where more than the clothes are exotic: Venus. There he meets another Edgar Rice Burroughs character, Carson Napier, who also has adapted to being stranded in a savage world and found true love. But Carson's love, Duare, has been captured by the minions of a cult leader, the Loveking, who gains followers through a narcotic dust. Carson will stop at nothing to rescue Duare, which means Tarzan must help Carson before Carson will help him find a way back to Jane.
