The Destructor

Dr. Simon Hunter was your average mad scientist who had devoted his life to finding a formula which would increase human potential to its utmost. Unfortunately, most of the scientific community considered him a nut, as did his teenage son, Jay. Jay was a good–for–nothing who preferred to run errands for mob boss Max Raven. The job paid well, but Raven was afraid that Jay was too ambitious, so he sent a hit man to kill Jay at his home.

The gunman broke in and shot both Jay and his father. The wounds should have proved fatal to both of them, but in his final moments, Dr. Hunter gave Jay a dose of his latest formula. Miraculously, Jay’s wounds healed, saving his life. Jay also found he had great strength and razors–harp senses. He later discovered an outfit that his father had put aside in the hope that his formula would one day work, and took on the identity of the Destructor. From there he proceeded to take Raven’s operation apart, piece by piece.
