Vengeance of the Aztecs
(Caliber, 1993)
™ and ©1993 Mitch Waxman
Centuries ago, Cortez and his Spaniards helped wipe the Aztecs—one of the greatest civilizations in history—off the face of the Earth. On January 21, 1992, they began to get their revenge.
A huge being dubbed “Plasma Baby” fell to Earth in Venezuela. Dan Quayle, acting president at the time, panicked and launched an ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Monster) at it. The monster failed and the Baby went on to devastate Tokyo. All other measures also proved useless. Then the Aztecs returned. Led by a wizard named Tenoch, they were sadistic and unstoppable supermen. Armageddon had befallen the world.
But Tenoch was not the only menace. High above the world, a bitter woman named Rikki Puccio held the world’s nuclear arsenal in her grasp…and the older gods—older than the Aztecs—decided it was time to come home.
