A U.S. research team travels to the city of Chernobyl and stumbles upon an incredible plot. During World War II, just before the end of the war, a secret underground experiment was created to meld human and insect DNA. The objective: create a race that could survive a nuclear holocaust. After being captured, subjected to experiments and narrowly escaping before they were fully transformed, a team of young researchers is forced to band together as a new supergroup, the Annihilators. Annihilators Wretch, Montage, Snare, Sexton, Wipeout, Trench, Deck, and Phade are B.U.G.G.s, or Biologically Upgraded Germinus Genotypes. Their goal is to stop the experiment in progress which has been using human guinea pigs for over 50 years, and try not to kill one another in the process.
