The Flintstones (Charlton)

The Flintstones was one of Charlton’s longest-running and most successful TV adaptations in the 70s, lasting seven years and spawning numerous spin-offs. The series was based on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon of the same name, which was television’s first prime-time animated program when it debuted in 1960. The Flintstones are a Stone Age family – Fred and Wilma and their daughter Pebbles. Fred and his pal Barney, who is also his neighbor, provide much of the sitcom humor in this prehistoric comedy.
