Badger first appeared in the early 1980s and has been published by everyone from Capital Comics to Dark Horse. This series is published in black-and-white by Image and continues the misadventures of Mike Baron’s insane super-hero, who suffers from multiple-personality disorder. Badger, who is just one of Army veteran Norbert Sykes’ seven personalities, and his wife, Mavis Davis, are living in a castle in the middle of some beautiful Wisconsin farmland with their wacky pal, Ham the Weather Wizard. They seem to enjoy a peaceful, rural existence, but their idyllic life is often interrupted by the arrival of dead movie stars, bloodthirsty ninjas, and—for added fun—evils the likes of which the world has never seen. Since it’s the work of Nexus creator Baron, all of this is handled with tongue planted firmly in cheek.
