“Police officers are your friends.”

That’s the advice given to children the world over, but in New Eden, the rule may not apply. Here the police are just as likely to be the enemy, and a runaway girl has as much to fear from the men with badges as she does from the men who lurk in alleyways.

After killing his partner and receiving a six-month suspension, Detective Kane returns to the New Eden Police Department. Understandably, the others in the department shun him, and he must adjust to working alone. Kane chronicles the adventures of the anti-hero Detective Kane as he tries to somehow keep some sense of law and order in New Eden. The series was created by English comic artist and writer Paul Grist, and deals with the good and bad sides of the law. As the sign says: “Welcome to New Eden…A Better Place to Live.”
