The Black Dragon

    (Epic, 1985)
™ and ©1985 Chris Claremont and John Bolton

King Henry is dead, and Lord Dunreith, the Black Dragon, rides toward the home Henry banished him from. But treachery is afoot: first, Dunreith is nearly killed by unknown bowmen, then he is enlisted by Henry’s widow to spy on an old friend. According to the widow, his friend has been using ancient magicks in an attempt to become ruler of England. It’s now up to the banished knight to stop the dark forces that threaten his homeland.

The Black Dragon was written by Chris Claremont (The Uncanny X-Men, The New Mutants), and illustrated by John Bolton (Marada the She-Wolf, Kull the Conqueror (3rd Series)). It’s a powerful tale of blood and honor in a world menaced by dread warriors and dark sorcery.
