DC Super-Stars

DC Super-Stars ran between 1976 and 1978, reprinting classic DC stories in a set of giant-sized issues. During its run, it managed to feature characters from a surprisingly wide range of genres. These included conventional super-heroes like the Legion of Super-Heroes (from their days in Adventure Comics), horror character Swamp Thing, war hero Sgt. Rock, and Western bounty hunter Jonah Hex. The run also included a pair of “Secret Origins” issues detailing the creation of Wonder Woman and Doctor Fate.
