Following World War III, the nations of the world finally banded together to form lasting peace. In that climate of peace, Dr. Elias Terror began an independent research base in the Arctic using technology to make the frozen land habitable. His contributions to science eventually caused the World Council to admit his base as a sovereign state—a move it would later come to regret later as he stole advanced cybernetic technology and used diplomatic immunity to avoid prosecution. Terror would use that technology to transform himself and others into powerful cyborgs, and he vowed to take over the world with his new army.

Hamstrung by politics, the world turned to the Centurions to stop Terror. Powerful already, this team could don special suits of armor by shouting, “PowerXtreme!” The Centurions wage battle against terror on land, in the sea, and in the air.
