Lady Death: Re-imagined

The title speaks clearly enough—Chaos takes its number one horror heroine and re-invents her in this one-shot special. It is a concept similar to DC’s Elseworlds series where they put their established characters into different times and circumstances in order to tell new and otherwise impossible tales. Though this Lady Death’s origin has noticeable differences, one common denominator remains—while on the mortal side her most dreaded enemy is still dear old Dad…
He is the Grand Inquisitor—cruel self-appointed vessel of God who searches for the treasure that will give him immortality—the Holy Grail! Determined to stop the slaughter, his daughter, Faith—maiden-turned-warrior—makes a bold, desperate move to stop her father at the last moment before the prize is his: she takes the grail onto herself and drinks from it, not realizing that a curse was placed on it—that whoever drank from the cup would see the separation of their eternal soul from their body…
So the lady Faith became Lady Death—doomed to walk the earth eternally as an undead, till she found and killed the one who had her soul!
