Stormbreaker: The Saga of Beta Ray Bill

One of the coolest things to come out the “Avengers Disassembled” storyline and the demise of the second Thor series was the return of Beta Ray Bill, the alien who carried the hammer of the Son of Odin during Walt Simonson’s stellar run on the series in the early 1980s. In this six–issue limited series that picks up almost immediately after Ragnarok; Beta Ray Bill is the only survivor of anything remotely connected to Asgard and his home planet of New Korbin is in trouble: Galactus has shown up and he’s hungry for some planetary life–force. Will Beta Ray Bill and the other defenders of New Korbin be enough to stop the great devourer and his herald, Stardust? This is a sprawling cosmic saga from writer Michael Avon Oeming (Hammer of the Gods) and artist Andrea DiVito (What If Aunt May Had Died Instead of Uncle Ben?)—very Jim Starlin–esque in scope.
