Raw Periphery

    (Slave Labor, 1997)
™ and ©1997 Omaha Perez

Raw Periphery is an anthology of experimental and very adult fiction, mostly illustrated by Omaha Perez.

The first issue contains four stories: “Dear Reader,” written by Richard Hell, about the physical and psychic connection between two lovers; “Jezebel’s Virtue,” by Ann Nocenti and James Romberger, about a journalist, a prostitute, and the dark world they inhabit; “The Watchman,” a story featuring Bodhi, the many-eyed man, and “Dreamlogic,” a short, cannibalistic piece inspired by Perez’s dreams.

Dark, disturbing, and imaginative, this series pushes the comics medium to the “raw periphery” of creativity.
