X-Men: The Early Years

Marvel’s mutant super-team, the X-Men, continue to lead the comic book industry in terms of, well…just about everything. In any given month, one will find at least two of the “X-family” of titles in the top ten sales charts. There are action figures, towels, lunch boxes, clothes, gym shoes, and just about anything thing else that can carry the logo or likeness of the mighty mutants. Fox Television Network even broadcast a cartoon version of X-Men Adventures that enjoyed huge success in the early to mid-nineties.

All of this attention prompted Marvel to reprint the original issues of X-Men (1st Series) in this new title. This gave the younger fans a chance to step back in time to view the masterful work of the X-Men’s creators, Jack Kirby and Stan Lee. It also featured brand new covers by some of Marvel’s hottest artists.
