Meatface the Amazing Flesh

    (Monster, 1992)
™ and ©1992 Monster

Although you might think you’ve picked up a “Toxic Avenger” movie adaptation, you haven’t—it’s just Meatface, who looks a lot like the Troma anti-hero. In this yarn, the hard-working Professor Cranium continues his top-secret, vitally important studies into the mysteries of X-Radium. Indeed, so single-minded is the brilliant professor that he continues his work even while his heavily guarded laboratory facility is infiltrated by Meatface, who violently murders guards and various others in his wake. For Meatface, whose mysterious origins just may have something to do with the powerful X-Radium, means to destroy the substance at all cost. Will he be successful?

Achieving a balance between an original EC horror comic and an old issue of Mad, this horrifying tale is neither for the faint of heart nor the squeamish. Including a totally unrelated backup tale, “Confessions of a Teenage Dope Doll.”
