Michael Walters was the type of archeologist who respected the ancient cultures he uncovered, using only basic techniques to preserve the site. Kristof Van Owen, conversely would use any means available to loot the dig for artifacts to sell to the highest bidder.

Walters and his girlfriend Jaclyn scaled a treacherous mountain in Tibet, only to find Van Owen already there by way of helicopter. Tempers flared, insults were exchanged, and in the midst of a shoving match, Jaclyn was knocked off the plateau to certain death.

But incredibly, Jaclyn survived and four months later, wandered into a Red Cross outpost. In the interim however, the presumed loss of Jaclyn sent Michael spiraling into despair, compounded by alcohol and drugs. One night an ominous visitor offers him his heart’s desire in return for an unspecified price. On her long journey back to civilization, a sense of dread fills Jaclyn’s thoughts and as she finally reaches her lover’s apartment, she confronts a demon that seems eerily familiar.
