At the beginning of the Cold War, Doctor Peter Malum had been enlisted to build a doomsday weapon. The weapon, called S.L.A.M. (“Supersonic Low Altitude Missile”) had unlimited range, carried a dozen H-bombs in its bay, orbited below radar, and could spread nuclear death across the entire world. The project was canceled after the first prototype was built, and dozens of guards were assigned to make sure it was never used. Malum, meanwhile, had gone berserk and began a murder spree of his own. He escaped custody in 1972, and only recently had been recaptured by F.B.I. agents. But then he escaped again and began a plan to build a new S.L.A.M. of his own.

Natasha Romanov, the Black Widow was sent by SHIELD to stop Malum, but was unprepared for Malum’s sheer savagery. Now she has one final chance, with the aid of the vigilante Punisher, to put an end to Malum’s madness before he destroys the world.
