In addition to his work on such titles as Blackhawk and Captain Marvel, Jr., Bill Ward is famous as one of the masters of “good girl” art. Known as “The King of Curves,” Ward drew countless gags in the 1950s and ’60s featuring cuddlesome women with sharp tongues. The illustrations here are from that period, mixing humor and sensuality in a lusty, yet lighthearted manner.
