Movie–goers who enjoyed (or were at least intrigued by) the film starring Keanu Reeves can sample a taste of the source material that inspired it with this collection of Hellblazer issues also including the comic book adaptation of the movie. The three issues chosen for reprint include early John Constantine tales from Jamie Delano and Garth Ennis, two writers with long and influential runs on the title. An unusual choice was made for the middle reprint, penned by Neil Gaiman, who is known more for creating the Sandman than his rare Hellblazer work. The trade paperback further whets the appetite of new fans by including an essay that outlines the key story arcs and character transformations over the long life of the Hellblazer series.
