Series numbering continues as Champions Classics with issue #13

Champions features several characters who were created for the Champions role-playing game. The game allows players to take on the role of a super-hero, matching powers and strategy against a colorful assortment of villains.

The comic runs true to the lighthearted spirit of the game. It stars Flare, a young and apparently man-crazy blonde with the ability to harness photonic energy; Icestar, who can create ice out of the water vapor in the air; Rose, an occult investigator; and their leader, Marksman, an experienced soldier.

This title ran for a dozen issues before restarting as The League of Champions #1. As an added bonus for Champions players, many of the lead characters that the group encounters in the comic book are written up (with ability scores, etc.) for use with the role-playing game.
