Gene Autry’s Champion

No, Gene Autry’s Champion is not about great Los Angeles Angels baseball players, rather it’s about Gene Autry’s horse. Well, Roy Rogers had a book about his horse, called Roy Rogers’ Trigger, so why not Gene? These days it’s somewhat quaint to discover that these cowboys sang and had horses that were as big of stars as their owners, but such is the life of the “good guy.” Autry is best remembered as the singer of Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Champion as the glue that held them together.
