JLA: Tower of Babel

    (DC, 2001)
™ and ©2001 DC Comics

Ever the tactician, Batman devised a series of plans to neutralize his fellow Justice League members if such a need ever arose. Of course, these measures were strictly last resort scenarios and safely encrypted on his computer. Breaking that encryption was only Ra’s Al Ghul’s first step in his latest plan to severely reduce the Earth’s population. These schemes, implemented by Ra’s, quickly brought the League to its knees, made all the worse when Batman revealed that he was the author of their demise. The defeat of Ra’s is the immediate concern, but the paranoia and mistrust toward Batman, coupled with writer Mark Waid’s ability to get inside these characters’ heads, make this a momentous story arc that had lasting repercussions.

This softbound collection assembles this significant story under one cover and also includes material from JLA Secret Files #3, JLA 80-Page Giant #1 as well as a poignant stand-alone story, “Half a Mind to Save a World” from JLA #42.
