The old writer might have been writing about the title character of this Caliber series when he first committed that thought to paper. Found raving in the streets, Renfield was taken to the Purfleet Asylum for the Insane for treatment. That was where he first began exhibiting his fondness for bugs and insects, and where it first became clear to him that his will was not his own.

For this educated, occasionally brilliant, and utterly insane man was being summoned to become the mortal slave of an unliving force of evil. He imagined children of the night, beautiful temptresses with sharp teeth…and a demon named Dracula who fed on the blood of the living. Dracula’s tale would become a legend. This series is the story of a doomed soul named Renfield.
