Intended to celebrate the fourth anniversary of Marvel Knights, a line of books created to invigorate the Marvel Universe with the industry’s top-of-the-line writers and illustrators. Each issue of Double Shot has two short stories featuring a different character that has received the Marvel Knights treatment. The Punisher and Daredevil share the initial installment. Garth Ennis’ Punisher tale, seen from the inside of a mob leader’s mouth during a visit to the dentist, pushes the boundaries of taste but epitomizes Marvel Knights’ reputation for taking risks.
