Set in the possible future of the Marvel Universe established in the sprawling limited series Earth X and Universe X, Paradise X: Heralds is a three-part prelude to the third in the trilogy of limited series—entitled, appropriately enough, Paradise X. Here, X-51—the robot formerly known as Machine Man—gathers heroes from various realities to prevent the “births” of god-like Celestials on a number of alternate Earths. The heroes are Wolverine from “The Days of Future Past,” Spider-Girl, Killraven, Deathlok, the vampiric Bloodstorm from Mutant X, and the Iron Man of 2020; but can they be forged into a team in time to allow humanity to fulfill its destiny?
