First appearing in Dark Horse Presents (and as a comic character in Next Men), Hellboy now appears in his own multiple Eisner award-winning series. His story begins as the Third Reich began ticking down its final hours. The Nazis made a last, desperate attempt to turn the tide by summoning unearthly powers to come to their rescue. Hellboy fell into the hands of the Allies and has now grown into adulthood. No stranger to weird phenomena, he now makes his living as a paranormal investigator. In “Seed of Destruction,” he takes on his strangest case yet—the murder of his adoptive father. Joined by Elizabeth Sherman, a pyrokinetic, and Abraham Sapien, a genetically engineered man-fish, they’ll take on all manner of danger in order to solve the case.
