The original Terminator story told how in the near future, man’s killing machines ran out of control and began killing all of humanity. They killed millions, but humans, under the leadership of John Connor, began to turn the tide of battle. The killing machines, dubbed terminators, would not be defeated, and traveled back in time to kill John Connor before he was even born.

In this prequel to the original story, the terminators’ master computer network, SkyNet, bands together with its Russian counterpart, Mir. It uses the information it finds there to infiltrate Russian troops with terminator facsimiles of killed or captured human rebels. Originally created as a Cold War deterrent to Mir, SkyNet is now its deadly ally in a war to end mankind.
