JLA: Tomorrow Woman

    (DC, 1998)
™ and ©1998 DC Comics

Tomorrow Woman is a synthetic super-being created to act as a mole in the JLA. For the time being, she was programmed to be a hero—but the day would come when her true purpose would be revealed and she would strike at them from within.

But for now (at least in this one-issue special), she was the key to saving the world from the machinations of an alien race called The Sole Jurisdiction. Ten years ago, they released an unknown energy over the Earth which had the effect of momentarily irradiating unborn mammals. For the next nine months, an unprecedented absence of any birth defect in newborns led the world to call them “miracle babies.” In reality, they were babies which, like Tomorrow Woman, could be turned into killers when the proper powers gave the command. Ten years later, the time had come—and only Tomorrow Woman has the power to stop them!
