Vampirella’s Summer Nights

    (Harris, 1992)
™ and ©1992 Harris Publications

This one-shot followed the events of the Morning In America limited series, and was a precursor to the 1992 Vampirella monthly series. The main story is at the point in time when Vampirella was just learning that her memories of Drakulon as an alien world are false. She is roaming the country, looking for the answers to her past. Her wanderings bring her into contact with two other characters from Warren Publishing’s horror magazine days, Uncle Creepy and his twisted cousin Eerie. This 48-page special also explores turning points in the lives of Vampi’s erstwhile lover, Adam van Helsing, and her longtime friend, the magician Pendragon.

Fact-keepers and Vampi historians will enjoy the poster insert, which includes a detailed history by Kurt Busiek. Other talent featured in the book includes Steve Englehart, Dave Cockrum, Art Adams, and Steve Leialoha.
