Primortals Origins (Leonard Nimoy’s…)

The Primortals have been spirited away by the government to a secret facility, with a story circulated about how they had been killed in a jet crash. This gave the government the opportunity to interrogate the aliens at length—with the threat of not releasing them if they failed to cooperate.

With this in mind, Primaster, leader of the Primortals, revealed their secret past—one which tied into Earth’s past as well. Some 65 million years ago, the alien Majae found a way to bend space and time, allowing them to travel to other worlds. Landing on Earth, they first took heavy losses trying to study ancient dinosaurs, and thus developed a compulsion to make sure that their work prove its worth. So when they learned that Earth was facing an impending ecological disaster, they decided to ferry various animals from Earth to other worlds where they might live on. The plan worked—until a miscalculation caused a Majae craft to crash into Earth with incredible force. This explosion caused climactic changes, killing the dinosaurs, and changing evolution’s course. Eons later, the animals that had been transported to other worlds evolved into the Primortals…while the Earth, forever changed by the Majae’s interference—evolved along its own, different path.
