Pirate Cove

This ashcan is like an exuberant high school play. The enthusiasm is there, and the kids are acting their hearts out, but the production values leave a little something to be desired. While plenty of the gags are funny, this random sampling collected from the strip’s archives online (where the cartoon began) tends to drop the reader in the middle of storylines without much clue what’s going on. That’s fine for a daily, but poor for a marketing tool distributed at a massive convention. Still, most of the punchlines work, even if the setups don’t, so what more can you ask?
