Dumb-Ass Express

Dan Parent and Bill Golliher collaborated on this rude, but still funny parody of kids’ comics. They spare no sacred ’toons, happily portraying Lassie (“Assie”) as a flatulent, overweight dog, cursed with a moronic owner; Richie Rich (“Rich Retard”) as a moron, brain-damaged by an overstuffed piggy bank falling on him as a child; and Shazam as a brawny, effeminate interior decorator. The premiere issue also features The Carneys, an original creation which Parent and Golliher spun off into a separate comic series.
