Poor spelling, worse dialogue and two ridiculously named vampires—Calvin and Hugo—take center stage in a pair of stories set in medieval Europe and featuring a vampire family.

A battle between two vampires over possession of a winsome female take up the bulk of the main story, where a rapacious innkeeper’s wife learns it’s a bad idea to mess with a vampire’s woman. In another, a girl fleeing an arranged marriage finds refuge in a country estate run by a rich woman, her son, her nephew, and one dark secret.
