Trouble Express

Trace Markley is arrogant, cocky, and the best mercenary in Unita City. A cynical man who doesn’t believe in heroes, he nevertheless follows a strict moral code himself, refusing to make killing a part of his assignments. Indeed, he exhibits an extremely short fuse when the subject comes up. Haunted by memories of experiences in “the camps,” and fiercely devoted to a hospitalized sister, his callous front hides a complex personality.

Enter Trouble Express, a galactic transport company that hires only the most daring personnel to perform its hazardous work. They recruit Markley, and both the money—and voluptuous firm president Krissara Vex—make the job offer attractive. Markley doesn’t hesitate, though the 40 percent mortality rate may have him soon wishing he had.

Written and drawn in a rather sparse manga style by Will Allison, this black-and-white title by from Radio Comix covers some familiar territory, with elements that are part galactic adventure, part James Bond.
