First appearing in 2000 A.D. in September 1981, the eponymous, blue–skinned protagonist is the last surviving "G.I."—Genetic Infantryman—on the colony world of Nu–Earth. The G.I.s were engineered to survive and thrive on the poisoned battlefields of the planet (which the Norts and Southers have ruined in a twenty–year war), but they were all ambushed and slaughtered during their first mission— all, that is, except for Rogue. Salvaging the personality chips from three of his companions (who currently occupy his rifle, helmet and backpack), he sets out on a crusade to find the Souther general who betrayed them all. The first thirty–two episodes (featuring work by noted artists Brett Ewins and Dave Gibbons) are included in this collection.
