Over the Edge

When Marvel separated its titles into separate editorial domains in 1995, it grouped stories and books centered around certain heroes—The Punisher, Daredevil, The Incredible Hulk, Doctor Strange, and Ghost Rider—into its Marvel Edge line. These paladin heroes had a darker, more somber demeanor than traditional comic book protagonists—they were heroes with an edge to them.

Over the Edge is an anthology title that features the Marvel Edge characters, and others such as Elektra, on a rotating basis. Over the Edge ran from September 1995 until May 1996, when the Marvel Edge line disappeared with the advent of the Onslaught epic and the Heroes Reborn storyline developed by Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld.
