A product of Jim Lee’s Wildstorm Studios, Wildstorm Rising is part of a larger story storyline that ran through many of the label’s books, including WildC.A.T.s, Wetworks, and Gen13. Fans of WildStorm mainstays Hightower, Void, Maul, and the StormWatch team should have no trouble picking up the plot already in progress as the WildStorm Rising two-issue mini-series kicks off.

Wildstorm Rising teams the talents of Barry Windsor-Smith, James Robinson, and inkers Alex Bialy and John Floyd in a colorful, action-packed book. Fans of Windsor-Smith’s work on Conan the Barbarian and Storyteller, among others, may be surprised to see his usually spacious and detail-rich style applied to a more conventional super-hero action setting, chock-full of costumed titans and rich with supersaturated computer coloring.
