Project A-Ko

This humorous super-hero title was adapted from a series of anime films by Tim Eldred, with illustrations by The Tick’s Ben Dunn.

A-Ko Megumi is a redheaded schoolgirl with superhuman powers. These come in handy when she oversleeps and needs to zoom into class at Graviton high school for the start of the new year’s classes. Her best friend is C-Ko Kotobuki, a blonde little girl with an uncanny knack for pouting, crying, and charming the socks off anyone she encounters. C-Ko is completely devoted to A-Ko, and unfortunately insists on making A-Ko lunch everyday—although her cooking skills leave much to be desired. B-Ko is the blue-headed rich girl who secretly vies for C-Ko’s affections. To impress the C-Ko, she arranges to “save” her from a progressively more silly variety of thugs, robots, and death machines, ultimately taking on the powers of a super-hero herself.
