Mystique & Sabretooth

    (Marvel, 1996–1997)
™ and ©1996 Marvel Characters, Inc.

In this four-issue mini-series (known officially as Mystique and Sabretooth, but on the covers listed as Sabretooth and Mystique), two of the X-Men’s most notorious foes have to take on the role of heroes—and you’d better believe it won’t be easy. The two had been placed in the custody of X-Factor, but went AWOL in order to launch a campaign against an old enemy.

Before he was deemed too dangerous even for covert intelligence work, Creed had been a CIA operative. He had been accompanied on a mission against Hydra by a Mossad agent named Amichai Benvenisti. In actuality, Benvenisti was Mystique. The two had been captured, and a friend of theirs had been cruelly tortured by a man called Catalyst. Now they have to join forces to stop Catalyst again—and prevent Hydra from getting access to a device which would make all the world’s computers their playthings.
