Alarming Tales

™ and © Harvey Comic Publications

Harvey was always trying to come up with the next big thing. After semi-success with super-heroes, war, romance, newspaper strip reprints, children’s titles and the horror genres, Harvey decided to capitalize on the late 50s craze for post-code mystery tales with this book. Though nowhere nearly as successful as similar titles published by DC like House of Mystery, Alarming Tales provides an interesting and alternative read to those accustomed to just Casper and Richie Rich coming from Harvey or those familiar with Harvey’s excellent horror titles from earlier in the decade such as Chamber of Chills or Black Cat Mystery.
