Butch Burcham rolled out The Pirate Queen in 1991, starring a fearsome (and lovely) buccaneer named Baliaha. The series focuses on her adventures as she tries to plunder a lost city of gold. She is aided in her dastardly deeds by a Conan-like barbarian named Kondar, who seems always to be looking for more than just riches from their association. Baliaha lures him on, continually promising herself to him if they get away with the gold. For either of them to get their way, however, they’ll first have to conquer the skull-headed ruler of the lost city.
