Little Stooges

Norman Maurer was the first artist to draw a comic book based on The Three Stooges. He must have really loved The Three Stooges, because he also ended up writing and directing some of their later films and even married Moe’s daughter!

While producing these films, Maurer allowed The Three Stooges comic book to be produced by others. After that title was cancelled after 55 issues, Gold Key asked Maurer to return to the series in a new book featuring the nephews of the original Stooges as teenage sleuths. An interesting if misguided series, bolstered only by Maurer’s involvement.
