Youngbroads: Stripfile

This one-shot parody takes aim at two targets: Rob Liefeld’s Youngblood: Strikefile, and the cheesecake-heavy depictions of women in many comics.

Feeling a need to appeal to women voters, President Clinton decides to create a new team comprised solely of gorgeous, scantily clad women: the Youngbroads. Their line-up consists of (quoting liberally from their appearance panel) Chapelle, ex-CIA operative and night nurse; Daft, a former Miss North Dakota (who wants world peace and inexpensive manicures); DyedBlond, the last word in deadly cyborg assassins with silicone “enhancements”; Fu-Ton, mistress of the comfortable mattress; Vague, a veteran from the Youngstuds; and Bedrocker…who won’t be described here. They’re meant to be America’s highly photogenic super-heroines, but when they go up against the dread villain Testoste-Ronin, they prove that they’re more than just pretty faces.
