Uncle Scrooge the Golden Fleecing (Walt Disney’s…)

™ and ©1978, 1961, 1955 Walt Disney Publications

This one-shot reprints Carl Barks’s classic Uncle Scrooge adventure “The Golden Fleecing.” Deciding that the world’s richest duck should have a solid gold coat, Scrooge McDuck makes a visit to his tailor, who tells him that he can’t make a coat out of gold that wouldn’t be as crinkly as tin foil. This leads McDuck—along with Donald Duck and Huey, Dewey, and Louie—to pursue the mythic Golden Fleece, but on the quest, the ducks run a-fowl (heh-heh) of the Larkies, old-lady versions of the Furies, and the Sleepless Dragon. Will Uncle Scrooge and his entourage obtain the Golden Fleece, or will they be lucky to escape with their tail-feathers intact? This is rollickingly fun stuff from a comics industry legend, and in this Dynabrite Comic format, it appears on good paper with vibrant colors.
