The Brutos, the Leones, and the Macellis: three brutal crime families that each control one-third of Colossal City. But their bitter gang war is not fought with conventional weapons. Instead, hired assassins, either para-humans with superpowers or ordinary men bonded with destructive armor, do the actual fighting. Men like The Shell, and Alloy, and Piper: trained hitmen eager to kill for their bosses. In such a world it can be hard to tell who the heroes are, and whose loyalties can be trusted. And sometimes, even the children of the gangsters can become players in the game….
