When some of Israel’s top cartoonists band together to tell their stories, anything can happen, and often does. As with most anthologies, Dimona is a mixed bag. Art styles range from symbolic post modernism to photorealism. The themes are universal; the feeling of being trapped in your own life, the search for love, resentment at vehicles being searched for no reason at security stops. These stories are not just about life in Israel, but about life itself. The pathos of each story will stay with the reader long after the last page is turned.
