Erik Larsen’s big, green Chicago cop meets his match in this two-issue limited series (originally intended as a annual). Here, Savage Dragon encounters young Jennifer Murphy, a battered housewife who inexplicably develops super powers and uses them to murderous effect when her husband raises a hand to their child. Dragon helps Jennifer adjust to her newfound powers (and status as a single mom). But soon after, other people start turning up dead in Chicago, killed as if by someone who doesn’t realize her own strength. Evidence points to the hapless Jennifer, but is she really the murderer, or just another victim? Writing team Tom and Mary Bierbaum (Legionnaires) work the script from a story by Larsen himself, while Rick Mays, Mark Lipka and Adam Hughes (Gen13) divvy up the art chores.
